Do most people have a background in aircrafts prior to school? Or is okay to have no prior knowledge prior to school?

You mean avionics mechanic ! I hate the word technician it's so loosely thrown around. It's like it doesn't even have meaning that's what they call the person working underneath the pharmacist. I hate that word technician that's what they've started calling ASE certified Frontline Master mechanics in a shop that works on cars. And it's really disrespectful. Because these are not technicians these are ASE certified Frontline Master mechanics at Ford and Chevy and Dodge ect...

Exciting video. I’ve been an Automotive Technician for 16 years and am looking for an upgraded career path and the only career I’m interested in and would love to pursue is being an Aircraft Technician. I love what you’re doing and all the opportunities you’re opening up for each individual. Hopefully one day I’ll be lucky enough to be one of those individuals.

Aim sounds legit unlike USA aviation academy USA aviation academy review Only giving more than 1 star because the instructors and staff here are great and very helpful (A&P). Just giving a warning about the policymakers at this school. This school is VERY MUCH a profit first school, and students are in no way a priority here in the grand scheme. Any make up time they will charge you $80 per hour even though the only time they offer make up time is during hours that your tuition already covers, so you will be double charged on Fridays for make up time if you are absent past the 10% mark for ANY reason (including births, deaths, family emergencies) throughout the section you are in. The FAA has a 20% rule to dismiss students from the program, USAA removes you from the program at 10% makes you pay for re entry. It’s a very shady policy, which is very unfortunate because the instructors and staff here are great. Additionally they are taking on more students than they have room for (VERY MUCH profit first) so good luck finding a parking spot that isn’t in a field over by the school.
